Ash Pay
This Privacy Policy describes how Ash Pay, a product of Ash Creative Labs ("Ash Pay," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Ash Pay mobile app and website at getashpay.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run a secure money-transfer service:
- Account information — your first and last name, mobile phone number, and the username you choose.
- Transaction information — records of transfers you send and receive, amounts, timestamps, and the wallet balances associated with your account.
- Device and technical information — a device push-notification token (so we can alert you), app version, and basic diagnostic information needed to keep the app working.
- Security information — a securely stored (hashed) version of your PIN or account secret. We never store your PIN in plain text.
- Communications — messages you send us for support.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and verify your phone number.
- To carry out and record the money transfers and requests you make.
- To send you account and transaction notifications, including push notifications and, if you opt in, text alerts.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Text messaging and your phone number
We use your mobile number to send account verification codes and, if you opt in, activity alerts. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and message content are shared only with the messaging providers that deliver these messages on our behalf, and only to deliver them. 4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
- Service providers. Trusted companies that host our backend, deliver our messages, and operate our app infrastructure, acting on our instructions and only to provide the Service.
- Partners you transact with. When you send or receive money, the other party sees the information needed to complete that transaction (such as your name or username).
- Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data security
We protect your information using encryption in transit, strict access controls, and secure storage of credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data and to reconcile balances so your account is always accurate.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and financial-record obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can review and update your account information in the app.
- You can turn text alerts on or off at any time (see the Messaging Policy).
- You can manage push notifications in your device settings.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@getashpay.com, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
8. Children
Ash Pay is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Ash Pay may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we do, we take steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
